ComBase manages "access accounts", which are accounts defined in the Radius server to allow dial-up access to the Internet. Each access account has an associated account name and password allowing authentication by a terminal access server. Access account names are limited to 8 characters in length.
A "login account" is a user and associated mailbox defined on the server. This typically has an associated mailbox. The login account name determines the e-mail address. For example, a login account of "samantha" has an email address of samantha@domain.com. Login account names are limited to 8 characters in length.
The "Owner" of a login account is typically the access account name. This is a field that is maintained in the system ("gecos") accounting field associated with the login account, and can be used to locate ALL login accounts associated with a given access account. If the "owner" field is blank, the access account name is assumed to be the same as the login account name.
