Linux CUSTOM Turn-key System Configurations

When obtaining a system from Comware International the hardware and software have been pre-configured according to customer specifications. These systems are ready for operation as an Internet Server.

Hardware Features

This identifies the base hardware and software configuration of systems manufactured by Comware International for use as Internet Servers. These systems are configurable on a custom basis. Base hardware configuration, 19-inch Rack-Mount or "Tower" system packaging:

• Intel Pentium IV with 512 Mb of RAM
• PCI VGA adapter
• Ultra Wide SCSI adapter
• SCSI 36.4 Gb Hard Drive (Seagate Barracuda)
• SCSI CD-ROM
• SCSI 4Gb TR-4 Backup Tape (Seagate TST8000S)
• Intel EtherExpress 10/100 Ethernet Card

One year hardware/software warranty provided with 24-hour support via our 800 number. All parts and labor provided for one year. Software upgrades of basic operating system (security and performance upgrades) of operating system and of Comware-provided application software included in hardware/software warranty at no charge.

Software Features

• Aliased multiple-IP system, 8 IP addresses
• DNS Server, configured with 8 specified domains
• UPS Software configured for auto-shutdown (configured for APC UPS)
• Apache Web Server, with web statistics utilities: ComTrack and Webalizer
• FTP Server (NCFTP, commercial version)
• Telnet Server with configured TCP security wrapper
• Secure SSL terminal and FTP Server with configured wrapper, commercial version
• Internet Aliasing to support multiple Virtual Hosts
• Sendmail E-mail server, with multiple specified domains
• Shadow password support enabled
• MySQL Server
• NTP Time Server (National Standard)
• Radius Server
• Backup and Restore Utilities (cron script program)

Systems are customized on a per-order basis, and are burned in and tested on-line in a virtual Internet for one week prior to shipment. Systems are provided with documentation on commonly-used commands and setup information for Internet utilities, in addition to ONE YEAR of 800# support within the USA and Canada.
